Born in 1974. Julietta studied German and English language and American literature at the University of Salzburg. After moving back home to Prague, she graduated from film history and theory at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.

In 1995 Julietta joined the programming team of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. From 2005 till 2010 she was the Festival’s Program Director. She was the jury member on several important international festivals (Tallin, Edinburgh, Adelaide, Brisbane, Oslo, Trondheim). 2011 she received Korean Cinema Award at the Busan IFF. The award is annually bestowed to filmmakers who contribute to the advancement of Korean cinema.

In 2010 she founded her own production company 8Heads Productions. The company focuses mainly on projects with an international potential and on international coproductions.
